| God Never Calls Me, He Sends Text Messages |
| 01.10.09 (11:54 pm) [edit] |
I had a different blog post planned for this evening, but my computer kept freezing while I was typing it out. I'm irritated now,
so tonight's post will be a series of random things that are annoying me at the moment. I know. Random randomness is so gay.
Windows Vista sucks.
It's completely incompatible with . . . well, pretty much everything. - which is one of the reasons why my brand new laptop keeps
lockin' up and giving me so much grief.
Too much snow on the ground so I didn't get to drive to Chicago for today's
DOMA protest. So far,
DOMA tweets don't look as promising
as the November 15th Proposition 8 protests.
Facebook advertisers need to learn a little bit about how to target the right market.
This ad (they obviously haven't seen my skin!) and
this ad (God never calls me, he sends text messages) never should
have popped up on my page. But this ad was meant just for me. They
don't have to pay me to complain. I'll do it for free.
I bought my teenagers their own Acer netbook for Christmas
and told them they could never use Mama's work laptop again. They don't listen. I have all kinds of spyware on my computer
- again - and I have to run Spybot and a full virus scan tonight - again.
Oh! The police (better known as Po-Po) showed up last night looking for my 16 year old - about an argument (that's what he said, an argument)
he had with a group of kids from the westside of town (translation: a group of white boys from the nicer side of town) about 3 weeks ago.
I said, "This happened 3 weeks ago and you're just coming here tonight?" He said, "We tried calling." Umm, what? You tried calling? Give me a fuckin' break.
I asked him if he had a warrant, he said, "No." I said, "Well don't come back until you do." He left.
I'm all out of Pinot Noir - but I'm not going out in this weather to buy more. Spring can't come soon enough.
