I use BlogTalkRadio.com to host SistersTalk Radio. I've been very happy with their service so far. Today, I logged in to prepare for an interview with Kate Clinton and I saw the following Mormon.org advertisement on the SistersTalk Radio profile page in the right sidebar.
I don't know if advertisers get to choose certain shows to sponsor since advertisers are secured by BlogTalkRadio.com and show hosts don't have much say in who their sponsor will be. But, I find it hard to believe that this ad placement was accidental.
I'm offended by the advertisement. I don't want them sponsoring my lesbian radio show. I have sent an email to BlogTalkRadio.com requesting that the Mormon.org ad be removed from my profile page permanently. I will provide an update once I hear back from them.
Has the Mormon church's involvement in Prop 8 ruined the church's reputation so much that they had to launch an online marketing campaign to redeem themselves?
