A college student in Ohio launched an investigation of Planned Parenthood, looking for any evidence that supports his theory that Planned Parenthood targets minorities and encourages race-based abortions.
In the video, the investigator/caller asks the Planned Parenthood employee:
Caller: When I underwrite abortion does that apply to minorities too?
Employee: If you specifically want it to underwrite an abortion for a minority person, you can target it that way. You can specify that's how you want it spent.
Caller: Ok, yeah cause there's definitely way too many Black people in Ohio, so I'm just trying to do my part.
Employee: Ok, whatever.
It's clear (at least to me) that the caller was on a fishing expedition - looking for anything to help the religious right continue its attack on pro-choice advocates. I don't believe Planned Parenthood is purposely encouraging race-based abortions.
